Nervous System Pathology

by

Review of Mosby’s Pathology for Massage Therapists, by Salvo and Anderson. Within Dr. Johnson’s course.

In chapter 5 the nervous pathologies I noticed that Bells Palsy was mentioned. My husband had Bells Palsy during the first year we were married and I had no idea what it was. He only had it for 2 weeks and then it went away. I also know a woman has it now and got it as a teenager. She is in her thirty’s and I found it interesting the two different lengths of time the two people had it for. Now I know that it is a neurological disease and massage is helpful for it to stimulate the paralyzed muscles.
