Being in a school setting, you ask the client if anything has changed since their last visit, but you don’t get to see their chart (unless they’re new). When I was done with my clients back and move on to her legs, I saw that she had red bumps that looked irritated. I asked if she was aware of the irritation and she said she had just shaved her legs the other day and sometimes get razor burn. Dilemma, do I continue massaging, do I put on gloves, or do I just avoid the area? I carry gloves in my bag, just in case. So, I put them on and continued the massage, avoiding the irritated area. Washed my hands for 2 minutes.
