Massage is important to treat the symptoms of cancer. We can not cure the cancer with massage. Massage will help lower stress, reduce edema or improve sleep. It is vital the therapist obtain permission from the client’s doctor first. Once it is determined okay to proceed it is important to note any changes in the client during the massage like fatigue or uneven breathing. A shorter massage is indicated in that event.
