Review of Mosby’s Pathology for Massage Therapists, by Salvo and Anderson. Within the course of Dr. Johnson.
I thought it was interesting that massage is contraindicated for a client who has pyelonephritis, or a kidney infection, but the book doesn’t tell you how to assess the client in this case… I mean it tells you the symptoms but if a client ignores the symptoms, as so many people do ignore symptoms, how are we supposed to know not to massage them?? Just a little confused on that one….
