In this chapter it goes over all the different types of skin diseases there are and which you can massage on and which are contraindicated. In the beginning it talks about the dermis and epidermis layer (skin) and which each is supposed to be doing for the body. The skin protects the body from infection, chemicals, biological things and physical things. It lets you know you need to assess your clients skin by condition the color and the temperature. It goes over different things you may come across on people like acne, athlete’s foot, etc.
