Do’s and Don’ts

For certain less aggressive types of cancer, I can see how massage could be useful. Foreign masses can push against healthy muscle tissue and inhibit movement or cause pain. Massage can relax that tissue and allow it to adapt. However with cancers such as lymphoma I would think that getting a massage is not a good idea. Massage speeds the movement of lymph. If your lymph is harboring cancer cells, moving it to other parts of the body faster may just spread the cancer.
