My comment is that every allied health care professional has a role in patient education the doctor, nurse, massage therapist, medical assistant, respiratory therapist etc.  Everyone plays a role in patient education under the direction of the physician.

I couldn’t agree with you more. When doctors, nurses, and massage therapits from different disciplines are communicating effectively and working as a unit, the quality of care they give their patients increases. There is a consistency and thoroughness that can be lost when teamwork is not evident. In a trauma situation, teamwork can help detect problems that may have gone unnoticed and save a patient’s life. When everyone is working together as a team to accomplish a common goal, results will improve and people will be more satisfied with their professional life.

In the health care field it is important that there is teamwork. I strongly believe that if everyone worked together to give the best quality of care it promotes a good outcome of the patient stay.

I like what you choose to comment on. I believe too that it is everyone’s responsibility to educate the patient and their families. It is better to have a patient or their family tell you they already know the information because the other health care worker told them than hearing them say no on everything told them what is going on or what to do.
